Announcing the Parts Cleaning Conference Technical Chairman
The Parts Cleaning Conference is pleased to introduce Dr. Darren Williams, Ph.D as the 2020 Parts Cleaning Conference Technical Chairman. Dr. Williams has been involved with the Parts Cleaning Conference for many years, and is a long standing member of the cleaning industry. We are excited for him to be a part of the event in this new way. Please welcome him to the Parts Cleaning Conference Team!
He is the author of over two dozen research articles and a book chapter covering an incredibly broad range of topics, such as computational chemistry methods for modeling molecular spectra, prediction of the spectral signatures of aged explosives, solvent substitution studies to reduce environmental impacts, contact angle methods for cleanliness verification, computational techniques for visible color prediction, and chemical education improvements in Physical Chemistry.
His most recent funding is from the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program – a joint program of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Defense. This was a one-year grant for $150,000, and capitalized on Dr. Williams' background in solvent substitution modeling. He will identified, created, and tested azeotropic blends for the replacement of trichloroethylene and n-propylbromide solvents in military vapor degreasing operations.
